as I'm frantically trying to arrange the last of my trip (& the terrible mullet-y last minute haircut was *not* the best of ideas really) I've been informed that Mark E. Smith has sustained some injuries (broken leg) so Bristol is out (if I can un-cancel my train to London) and I'm left with a ticket to yet another postponed show that will be impossible to attend. anyway, here's a list of things I might need while away, bear with me (and something secret (lkpQme1S & 498280):

curfew (& my uncle was 1 of those rushed to emergency, in stable condition now, suffered a heart attack while shovelling snow, hope he'll be all right): the backyard (snow up to the windows), downtown Dartmouth (on the way to the ferry), Halifax (on the way home from work, & what were you all doing buying sunglasses??) ...

power still on, blizzard still rages, no sign of the street plow... the store was closed today but tomorrow? I hope the buses are running at least. Peter R called from Montreal (to gloat about ff +1 & lack of snow;) and it looks like Pop Montreal is on for the last weekend of September (Flaming Lips, Mission of Burma and possibly the Pixies! but sshhh it's a secret so don't tell!) ... I've spent the day in unhealthiness: beer, day old pizza, a pan of fudge, the smiths, a bit of tv & far too much time on the internet (but most of the trip bookings are done now - it's like this: Glasgow, Bristol, London-Paris, London, Paris, London -no Dublin b/c there just isn't time, it's a 12 hr journey each way)...

have you survived the hell of the 4 hour baby shower? have you been asked to draw a picture on a paper plate while holding it on top of your head? I thought not... (Milicent you're so great but oh my god... )

And now it's over, there were 9 people, a malfunctioning overhead projector and me looking like a total idiot (although the dietitian thought it went well, next time I'll be having a student present on my behalf ;)...

Been working on a presentation for Friday am, heart disease and stroke etc (scary stats, 2003 hypertension guidelines)... I'm absolutely terrified to be up in front of people (although only 5 are scheduled to attend) so I'll be in a state of panic until then ... just so you'll understand...
