did I mention this was new year's eve? spent most of the evening standing near the wall on the left next to matt & rochelle, took my hair down at one point and al tuck immediately turned to me, grasped my arm and said "hey! happy new year! I haven't seen you in ages" (I had been next to him for about half an hour ... does he think I'm someone else when I'm not in an up-do? & who is this long lost friend?) then he asked "do you have a light?" and things were back to normal ...

behold the resurrection: north of america at the khyber ... watched much of it from the glass doors in the hallway which was scary enough, quite a crush of young men near the front (I got there at 11:15, the main room was filled to capacity)- finally got in about 11:30 (thanks graham!) and didn't get any closer than the edge of the bar which was fine but the pictures are all horrible ...it was indeed packed & so much better than on record (the poster- I grabbed a couple of extras for the devout- the view from there, james & christina)...

you know it's bad when even the idealized version of your life bores you, but not all of us can be philip and who could handle *that* much nudity ;) (it's winter, you should all be home making tea or something)... it seems like I've been at work for days now and since I'm sworn to secrecy as to what exactly transpires there (is aspirin really an appropriate stocking stuffer? probably more useful than anything from the bodyshop ) I'll be hibernating for a bit...

one last thing, even if you can't remember donning a gold dress and matching purse to dance wildy to surf rock at the el strato (wait, that was me) graham has archived the fun of avengers 7 right here ...

Saturday night I'd be going to this , instead my sis & I are headed to little nashville to see my uncle's country band. But next Thursday at the khyber it's death by nostalgia & the return of the yellow jacket avenger (yay!). And the litigation is back on, I am being sued after all (January 8 - be there, it'll be a good time I'm sure) ...

christmas is almost here (the ever-annoying "woody the talking christmas tree", how I've always hated that thing)... another flat tire on the way home Wednesday night, had myself towed to the dealership by CAA because I really don't know how to fix anything practical ...

tara says: khyber show friday night at 10:15pm with Recyclone/Second Front/Wallflower - video on the wall & I will be there this time. yes, we are watching Tron this Sunday (& it has nothing to do with that Strokes video, although I hope it's a little more fun) ...
